There are many mountains in Seoul.
The subway is well-equipped and cheap, so you can take the subway to the entrance of the mountain and start climbing right away.
This time, I went to Bulam Mountain in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
Bulam Mountain is a mountain on the border of Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and is very close to the hiking trail from Sanggye Station.
Bulamsan Mountain is about 500m high and can be easily climbed by beginners, but it is recommended to wear hiking boots in the Amneung section.
The total distance traveled 4.56 km and climbed about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
It is a good distance to go lightly in the morning.
In the beginning, it starts with stairs and soft dirt roads on a gentle slope. If you go up for 10 to 20 minutes, the Amneung section begins, and the difficulty level is low but fun.
If you go up above the middle, a steep slope comes out and the difficulty increases. Still, there is no difficult section because the safety rope is well established.
When you climb to the top, you can see an open view.
Bulamsan Mountain is a rock mountain based on bedrock, and rock cliffs everywhere are said to be used for rock climbing practice.
Some people climb the ice wall in winter, but I haven't seen it in the direction I go up.
The mountain is monotonous, but it is said that the huge rock walls and beautiful forests are typical characteristics of Bulamsan Mountain.
When I came down, I came down to the valley, not the Amneung section.
The road is gentle and stairs make it easy to come down.
I used a climbing stick when I came down.
